Tightening noose against black marketing of essential commodities, Jammu Police have recovered over 100 LPG cylinders and arrested two persons in Arnia village here in the city outskirts.
A senior police officer on Thursday said that special branch team of Jammu Police on Wednesday acting swiftly on a tip off, seized one vehicle loaded with LPG gas cylinders.
"We have seized 107 LPG cylinders from Arnia, which were being transported for blackmarketing," said a senior police officer.
He said two persons have been taken into custody in this connection and a case under relevant sections of essential commodities act and misappropriation of goods was registered.
Investigation into the case is in progress, said the officer.
